"Language
is our most human characteristic. It is essential
to learning, working and enjoying family life
and friendships" ASHA.org
Successful communication involves

The Castillo - Morales Method of Orofacial Regulation Therapy
A muscle based program that combines general development
of sensory motor capacities with a specific focus
and treatment of the orofacial region. As a result
children become more alert, responsive and motivated.
They process signals in their environment better,
and become more capable of communicating. ORT is a
system of therapy for improving nasal breathing,
sucking ability, chewing, swallowing, speech and
orofacial muscle function. ORT is effective in
treating children with genetic syndromes and has
been proven to be particularly effective for improving
the neurophysiological abilities and appearance of
individuals with Down syndrome and cerebral palsy.
Early Intervention is important for the development of
musculature, motor movements and sensory system needed to
navigate their environment. When treatment begins at an
early age dramatic changes demonstrate the effectiveness of therapy.
